You are unique.
My wanderings into the idea of becoming a doula started with the births of my own babies. I had the first two, a boy and then a girl, in hospitals with midwives in attendance. I had the next two, this time another girl and then a boy, in a birth center. I was inspired and moved by each of my midwives. Each offered the comfort, joy, warmth and encouragement that I needed to see birth through to completion. What a beautiful, unique journey that began in me. Their kindness and care caused me to wonder if I should join birthing moms to offer my heart and hands in this miraculous process as well. While I had this intuition, there was only time to focus on what was right in front of me … raising four babies, each two years apart nearly to the month. I waited many years to see this dream fulfilled. I entered the field toward DONA certification as a volunteer with Operation Doula, and then started a business with my services. I have cherished working with each of the families I have assisted. Now that my own children are nearly 15, 17, 19 and 21; I feel I have more resources than ever to offer our clients. I consider it a great honor and a rare privilege to be invited into a birth story in service as a doula.

At home.
This family is the most precious blessing from God that I could have imagined. They have each played a part in shaping me into the human, wife, mom and doula I am today. I thank them for offering the experience and support they have given me so that I may pass it on to clients. In addition to my love for spending time with family and friends, you can find me enjoying my two pups: Gus and Winnie June, and my daughter’s rabbits: Violet, Pippy, Milo and Biscuit.
At heart.
My heart’s belief is rooted in the knowledge that we are each created in the image of a loving God and savior, Jesus Christ. He holds in His sovereign wisdom the outcome of each and every birth. Each pregnancy and birth presents a unique and rich experience.

Birth is such a wonderful platform for connecting with people . I love serving clients and consider it a great honor to earn the trust of families. Walking beside these families through the process of pregnancy, birth and postpartum is a privilege in my role as doula. I am so blessed to be a member of this team.
